When every new year starts the newyork times (nyt) publishes a 52 number list of prestigious places around the world to visit on that particular year.
This year,that is 2019 Puerto Rico which is a small island coming back from a terrible hurricane "Maria"  was listed on top of the list.


The second place is for Hampi,which is a city in karnataka,India along the banks of thungabhadra river.And it is the only place from India in the whole list.
Hampi is also recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site.Hampi was called as Vijayanagara empire in the ancient days,since it was one of the richest city in the whole world.

Hampi is known for its archaeological value and its architectural beauty of the old buildings and palaces now.Hampi is a place with a lot of old
palaces,fort,temples,etc.. ,most of the buildings are still in great shape and are well maintained and hence we can experience the past from here.
Hampi is a peaceful and silent place,so you can relax both physically and mentally.

Earlier it was really hard to reach Hampi because there was no proper transportation facilities to Hampi.But now many private companies started many transportation services including flight services understanding the opportunities.Hence it is much easier to reach Hampi now.There is also enough good hotels for accommodation now.

Hampi is now one of the best tourist places in the world with all the old pride of the rich city,and hence now newyork times had placed Hampi 2nd on there 52 places to visit in 2019.Hampi will always have this pride throughout the future since it offers us the lessons of the ancient period.
